Independent Advocacy is an organisation whose vision is to “Innovate ways to empower people to live fulfilling lives”. We operate four delivery hubs, one of which is our Advocacy and Influence Hub. This hub delivers issue based advocacy services as well as looking to influence change at both an individual, group and systems level.

We have the following exciting opportunity.

Advocate
Part Time:  Full Time

Location:  Solihull with occasional travel throughout Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull

Starting Salary (pro rata):  Scale 5/6 (£21,074 – £23,866), depending on experience

We are looking for an individual who shares our passion to give vulnerable people a voice in expressing the outcomes they wish to achieve in their daily life.

As a general advocate you will undertake a variety of work as part of an experienced team of advocates and contribute to the development of our services.

You will have an accredited qualification in advocacy i.e. The City and Guilds Diploma or Certificate in Advocacy,

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Practical experience working as an advocate (formally or informally)
  • Experience of using case management systems
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Good Knowledge of Adult Social Care, Health and Children’s Services
  • Good IT skills.
